系統簡介Description
在香港，65歲或以上的長者中，每年約有五分之一的人曾發生跌倒。其中75%會受傷，包括頭部創傷和骨折。在過去六個月內曾跌倒的長者，未來幾個月內再次跌倒的風險會比其他人更高。
跌倒是可以預防的，它並非衰老過程中不可避免的現象。事實上，沒有任何設備能保證使用者絕對不會跌倒，然而，警報系統在提醒護理人員病患正從床上或椅子上「起身」時非常有用。警示（或警報）是一個信號，讓護理人員及時作出反應並判斷病患是否需要協助。

Among 75% will be injured, including head trauma and fractures. Elders who have fallen in the past six months, the risk of falling in the next few months will be higher than others.

In fact, there are no device can ensure the person will not fall, however an alarm is very useful by alerting the caregiver that the patient is 'getting up' from a bed or chair. The Alert (or Alarm) is the signal to respond towards the patient and determine if help is needed.
